police K9 dog statistics

I'm having trouble finding statistics on how many police K9 dogs are being used in the U.S. Does anyone know where I can get this information or a rough estimate? I've done google searches, but haven't had much luck. I need some numbers for marketing research. Thanks.

Iron Heart Training Center in Kansas City has a K9 Master Training Program for police k9 handlers and you can use your own dog. By the way, I like the looks of your dog. Full of mischief maybe? fun fun, Nothing smarter that a GSD in my book! Good Luck.
