Hi Guys,
I'm looking to get some information about any handler positions that may be available. I've been in law enforcement for over 9 years and am a decoy and canine medic. I recently learned that I might be getting laid off and that my department is downsizing their K9 unit. I have worked so hard to become a handler and thought that I was nearing a position, but now not only learning that we're loosing a dog man, but that I may be loosing my job is very disheartening. Any info would be he

Hi sports fans-apologies for not posting seasons greetings until now, but this tends to be the busiest time of year for those of us that make a living from following a dog's ass around for hours on end!! Anyway, I hope that, wherever you are, whatever you're doing-I sincerely hope you all are well and safe, especially those of you in harm's way-Iraq; Afghanistan, your country's streets and dark alleys. Take care, and check your six!!

Hello,
I'm a Police Officer, working as a Police K9 Instructor at the Belgian Federal Police Force.
Now, I always wanted to move to the US or Canada, but how good would my chances be on the job market? Could I work for the US/Canadian police force for example? I do speak, read and write english, french and dutch.
Looking forward reading your thoughts on this subject!
Best regards,
Bart

Does anyone out there know what nutrients or minerals are missing in commercial dog foods that cause German Shepherds to rip up grass, roots and all, and eat it. I have tried about every high end food that exists on the market. Right now I'm feeding 1/3 Royal Canon German Shepherd, 1/3 Purina Proplan Select Chicken, and 1/3 Eucanuba German Shepherd. They also get a couple tablespoons of unflavored yogurt each feeding. The thinking was that it was an enzyme that was missing. They all do it more i…

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best dry dog food for German Shepherds? The current food I use has corn in it which makes her itchy I was very interested in Eukanuba but that also has corn in it. I need something that will keep her at a good weight as well because unlike most shepherds she is very stocky so she gains weight more rapidly. Does anyone use Canin Royal? I hear that is one of the best but its also $50 for only a 36lb bag. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciat…

All K9s Go To Heaven is a 7 year-old non-profit organization that provides gear and equipment to police and military K9s. It began in Salinas, California when Klief, a K9 loved by school children, the general populace of Salinas and highly respected by the "bad side" too, was stabbed to death by a nut case. We have been able to assist police K9 and military K9 units in California and Washington state by providing them with the most professional equipment and gear available. Currently, we are try…

Every time we do a photoshoot, I'm amazed by the distinctive qualities of each dog... Some of them are very agile, some are mostly playful, some others have strong personalities, and others are just shy.
A couple of weeks a go, we were invited to be the photographers at Dog Swim Days, a yearly event celebrated in Nations Tobin Aquatic Center in El Paso, Texas.
While being invited was an honor, we were surprised by the amount of dogs that were there. One of the organizers told us that they had…
