Nice looking Mal! Very bright and alert. Ready to play and play and play. (smile)
I understand about obedience training and detection training when they are ready, when do you begin protection training and do you title your dogs in protection work before selling them as K9 service dogs? I was thinking of importing 15-18 months with protection work, what do you suggest? I'm not qualified to train for bite work, but I can learn. Thank you for your advice. Everything helps. I have done bite work with a trained dog, but never trained a dog for bite work. Brenda
p.s. no hurry on getting back to me, just when you can.
My comment sounds confusing:
Clarification: What age should an adult titled Mal in protection work be brought over from Europe for drug/bomb detection training? What would be the ball park pricing for such a dog? I plan on going to a drug/bomb detection k9 training program when I get finished with some other schooling. I am not trained for bite work, nor are there many "helpers" around the area except for k9 officers who may or may not want to work my dogs.
